Well, I thought I'd start a little blog of all my fun crafts I've been working on. It's nothing big, but just something for fun. I've gotten quite busy working on projects and being crafting lately- seems to help time pass. I like to blog hop to get idea's of some fun and crafty things to make. I'll also include in this some sites I've come to love! I've also become addicted to MOD PODGE and buttons!! Holy cow, they're my new best friends! Anyways, I hope you enjoy my "pieces of craft".

countdown.

This is the double sided countdown. I wanted something for Christmas- and I'd found this. My friend helped me out with the cutting some vinyl for me (before I had my cricut). So, we have a Christmas countdown on one side, flip it over and you have....
... a birthday countdown on the other! :]
The kids love moving the magnet everyday on this. It is also supposed to be framed... but I haven't gotten that far with it yet. It's a piece of sheet metal, mod podge scrap book paper on it, stick on the lettering and there you have it. Done. :] This is one of the first things I ever mod podged and I messed up the Christmas side a little- the paper ripped a little while I was applying the lettering, but, I'll now always remember my first mod podge project. :]

the dahlia.

This is a time consuming flower- but I LOVE it!! It's all felt... amazing huh?!  They take me about 30-45 minutes to make ONE. I've since made 2 black, a red one, a pink one, a teal one, and another white one. I'll get pictures of those taken soon to add to this one!! I've gotten better at putting them together now, so I am loving them even more!! I do sell these ones too if anyone is interested in one and doesn't want to make it.  I have a pile of felt waiting to be turned into dahlias!

Here are the latest ones:

wipes.

These are kind of silly- but they were fun to make... I was bored. Just a fun way to "spice" up your wipes box! Gotta love me some mod podge! :]

tutus

This is not my first tutu I've ever made... but it's my latest. I love making these- most of the time. I will suggest NOT using the sparkle tulle- unless you don't mind being COVERED in sparkles! I have done one other one with sparkles before this one- but I must have forgotten what happens when you tie it. Oye. But, they sure do look cute! I did this one with a ribbon tie- you can also use elastic. And I added one of my posie joye clips just for fun... added a little to it- or she could wear it in her hair.
Again, SUPER EASY!! Most of you know I make other flower clips as well, but sometimes its fun to have a little change. I just whipped these bad boys up with some scrap fabric I had. Just cut out 4 bigger circles and 4 smaller circles... fold them in half, then in half again and glue them together so they don't come open... then put it all together like the picture. SO simple, yet SO cute. :]

Any time I ever wear any kind of jewelry, Charlee insists on wearing something too. However, she doesn't really have too much cause she either breaks what she does have, or I don't buy it cause I don't want her to break it. But, when I saw these flower cuffs- how EASY and simple- once again!! Just get some ribbon, glue some flowers on them and attach some Velcro and there you have it... simple as that. And she LOVES them and I don't have to worry that she'll break them! They're great!

coffee filter wreath

This was also SO fun and SO easy... and no one would ever guess it was made out of COFFEE FILTERS!! And, I might also add that it lasts FOREVER!! I had it hanging on my front door since November. I just took it down because I made the egg nest wreath, but this is seriously an awesome wreath! I was changing out the ribbon on it to go with the time of the year/holidays. It can also be used as an inside decoration too if you like that. Super easy and fun- that's what I'm all about when it comes to crafting!!

menu board.

Why did it take me so long to find something like this?! It's so easy and I don't have to print off a million calendars or waste paper anymore! SO EASY! It's just a picture frame with scrapbook paper in the frame(which you can either have to match your kitchen like I do now, or on holiday's change it out with paper that goes with the holidays- I'll most likely end up doing that as well) and write on it with dry erase. I also used my cricut for the letters, but if you don't have one, you could totally just use a permanent marker and write the days on it with that!! A friend of mine also suggested a "to do" list like this as well... hmmm... might have to make one of those too!

egg nest

this was a SUPER messy project- we had a little group get together to make these- and after me and one other friend unwrapped our straw wreaths and made the ground look like a barn, another friend came in and just did it with the plastic left on... DUH! It was gonna get covered up anyways! haha. Then came the moss- it was ALL OVER... but it's alright- it was all worth it! I had seen a similar one online and thought it would be fun to make one. I'd love to have pictures of all the other girls who made one as well- we all used different eggs and moss, so none of them look exactly the same. It was fun. Thanks for crafting with me girls! :]

super hero's to the rescue!

I have had fun making capes and masks lately too!! I made all my nephews masks for Christmas this last year and I'd never made one for a girl- so as I was making one for these, I thought, how could I girly this up a little- so I added a little bling and now it's fit for a GIRL! :] I still haven't made one for my own kids- well, capes I have, just not masks yet, but every time I make one for someone else, they tell me they want one too. So, I guess I should make them one too!

spring is here...

I saw these and fell in LOVE! I wanted to make them right then and there when I saw them... but, I couldn't... it was too late and I didn't have all the stuff. But, I did the next day! It was so much fun! I have also gotten to work with some power tools- which honestly scares the heck out of me... but is also fun at the same time! I ended up taking this to our Relief Society exchange, so I'll have to make myself some new ones later... but that's ok, cause I had fun making them!

this was WAY time consuming- but if you know how to crochet, I am sure it wouldn't have been too much. I didn't/don't know how, so I just decided I would braid 3 pieces of yarn and then make it that way. Braiding yarn takes FOREVER... especially if you want it long enough. I worked on one for me that took me like 2 hours to braid all 3 of them... oye. I still haven't finished it completely yet. I just love the way that they look though. I guess maybe I'll have to teach myself how to crochet so I can make better ones... work in progress I guess.

"I'm lucky to have you"

I found this idea on a blog and thought, what great and easy visiting teaching "gifts" for March!! They were SO easy and I had fun making them. It's just a terra cotta pot- I painted it green (using the same green paint from my lucky board) and wrapped ribbon on the dowel, glued the hand cut out shamrocks and added a little bling. I put COCONUT Mn M's inside the pots- cause they were green, white and brown... and cause I LOVE THEM! :] Again, it was a fun little project!

LUCKY board

I think this is one of the first things that I'd done in a long time. It was SO easy and fun to make- plus, I didn't really have any st. patricks day decorations, so I thought this would be something fun to do and have.
